Manish Goel is the senior vice president and general manager of HP’s Storage organization, where he’s responsible for driving innovation in and growing the overall profitability of the multibillion dollar business.
Prior to joining HP, Goel served as the Chief Executive Officer at Guavus, a software firm providing Big Data analytics services to large-scale telecommunications companies. Goel’s almost 30 years of experience spans a broad range of industries and roles, including corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, business development, engineering development and management, sales and product strategy as well as particular expertise in the software and networking sectors.
Before acting as CEO at Guavus, Goel spent 12 years at the storage and data management firm NetApp, most recently holding the title of Executive Vice President of Product Operations. In that position, he was responsible for all product and technology strategy, development and delivery, with an operating budget of more than US $1 billion. His previous positions with NetApp include Senior Vice President and General Manager of Software and Vice President Enterprise Accounts.
Goel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and a Master’s of Business Administration Degree from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Goel, an avid golfer and a fluent Hindi speaker, sits on the board of Aerospike, Inc., and resides in the Bay Area.
